Retail makes up the lifeblood of American business, and retail employees are at the heart of our nation’s jobs economy.
For 10 hardworking, driven current retail employees looking to make a significant impact in this key industry, an even bigger future awaits. The National Retail Federation and University of Phoenix are pleased to offer 10 “Dream BIG” full-tuition scholarships to those looking to pair their higher education goals with their ambitions for a successful career in the retail sector.
University of Phoenix is pleased to collaborate with the National Retail Federation Foundation to offer a scholarship program. The NRF Foundation promotes retailing as an attractive career path while developing and cultivating the next generation of retail leaders through partnerships with universities, professional certification programs and workforce training. The NRF Foundation is a nonprofit, Section 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that is an affiliate of the National Retail Federation and is funded in part by generous donations from retail industry supporters.
University of Phoenix understands the importance of making higher education highly accessible for students of all ages and backgrounds. As the largest private university in North America, University of Phoenix takes very seriously its social responsibility to its students and the communities it serves. University of Phoenix is particularly adept at aiding non-traditional students complete their education by designing programs around their busy lives.
Through this scholarship program, ten (10) full-tuition scholarships will be offered to current retail employees who have “big dreams” in continuing their retail career in any number of disciplines including, but not limited to, business, finance, criminal justice, technology, management and marketing. Each scholarship will allow a prospective student the opportunity to complete an undergraduate or master’s degree program at University of Phoenix. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online. Only the first 1,000 eligible/qualified applications will be considered.
A complete application and supporting documentation must be received on or before 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on April 9, 2013. Applications received after the designated deadline will not be considered. No exceptions.
The scholarship committee will determine the recipients of the scholarship by the award date of July 30, 2013. You will be notified via email on, or shortly after, the award date regarding the status of the scholarship. You will receive a notification email regardless if you were selected as a recipient or not.
