On Sunday March 10, 2013 the Roundtree Residences held its grand opening for the senior building located off of Alabama Ave. SE. Many city leaders including Ward 8 Councilmember Marion Barry and Ward 4 Councilmember Muriel Bowser were on hand to help celebrate.
Speakers included the God-daughter of Dovey Roundtree, whom the building is named after, DHCD and Enterprise and other development partners.
Roundtree Residences features 91 affordable housing units with state-of-the-art building facilities, including a gym, library, guest room and community kitchen and game room.
